Our 4.5×3 and 6×3 cabins make great backyard offices - small enough to slot in without disrupting your section, big enough for a proper desk, second monitor and bookshelves. Auckland Council recognises 60 m² minor dwellings as exempt from full resource consent in many residential zones, making granny flats and small tiny homes one of the fastest ways to add housing to an existing section. Auckland buyers tend to want a smaller footprint - sections are tight and densification rules favour compact builds. Most of our Auckland customers go with a 6×3 or 10×3 tiny home, or a 4.5×3 cabin for sleepout / office use. Pre-wired with a power circuit, insulated for year-round comfort, and a real commute-killer.

Most home office customers go with our 4.5×3 (13.5 m²) or 6×3 (18 m²) studio cabin. Both sit comfortably on standard suburban sections, give you a dedicated office space that's not the spare bedroom, and qualify for no-consent in most council areas (4.5×3 is right at the limit). Power and data connection are typically a half-day job once the cabin is on site.
Every build comes together in our Raglan workshop, fully wired and plumbed before it leaves the gate. Steel-frame chassis, Coloursteel® cladding, NZ-sourced joinery, double-glazed windows. We don't cut corners on the parts you live with every day.
