Auckland Council recognises 60 m² minor dwellings as exempt from full resource consent in many residential zones, making granny flats and small tiny homes one of the fastest ways to add housing to an existing section. Auckland buyers tend to want a smaller footprint - sections are tight and densification rules favour compact builds. Most of our Auckland customers go with a 6×3 or 10×3 tiny home, or a 4.5×3 cabin for sleepout / office use. Both are fully self-contained: kitchen with hob and rangehood, bathroom with shower, separate bedroom, and living/dining space. Power and plumbing connect to your existing house services or to a new dedicated supply.
Every build comes together in our Raglan workshop, fully wired and plumbed before it leaves the gate. Steel-frame chassis, Coloursteel® cladding, NZ-sourced joinery, double-glazed windows. We don't cut corners on the parts you live with every day.
