Looking for a sleepout in Auckland? Our 4.5×3 cabin gives you a fully built, weather-tight extra room - big enough for a single bed, desk and wardrobe. Auckland Council recognises 60 m² minor dwellings as exempt from full resource consent in many residential zones, making granny flats and small tiny homes one of the fastest ways to add housing to an existing section. Auckland buyers tend to want a smaller footprint - sections are tight and densification rules favour compact builds. Most of our Auckland customers go with a 6×3 or 10×3 tiny home, or a 4.5×3 cabin for sleepout / office use. No kitchen, no bathroom, no plumbing complications - just a warm, dry, lockable extra room ready to land on your section.

Most sleepout buyers go with our 4.5×3 studio - compact enough to slot into most backyards, but big enough for a single bed, wardrobe, desk and storage. Add insulation upgrades, double-glazed windows and a heater for year-round comfort. (At 13.5 m² it usually needs council consent - the process is straightforward for a single-room cabin without plumbing.)
Every build comes together in our Raglan workshop, fully wired and plumbed before it leaves the gate. Steel-frame chassis, Coloursteel® cladding, NZ-sourced joinery, double-glazed windows. We don't cut corners on the parts you live with every day.
